Value of Artisan Goods

My experience is that the price of the wines, juices, jams, pickles, honey, etc. varies depending on something, I'm not sure what. I'm going to note the prices I get for everything here in hopes of finding the formula for their prices. --Valliant (talk) 19:55, 28 February 2016 (EST)

Shouldn't we just put the base price in for everything as is shown in the collections tab of the game? I assume the price varies depending on what skills you have and what quality level they are --InfinitySamurai (talk) 20:03, 1 March 2016 (EST)

I've been testing preserves and the keg products extensively (for accurate use in my spreadsheet). They all follow the proper formulas listed here. Any discrepancies people see in-game are the result of their own perks influencing their prices. I've removed 3 unneeded pickled [vegetable] examples that people added, because they assumed the price was not following the formula, when it was. --Jurk0wski (talk) 11:26, 3 March 2016 (EST)

I added the general formula yesterday but left the individual vegetables alone since I wasn't sure if people found the specific breakdown more helpful. I'd lean towards agreeing the list is better consolidated. --PenguinTod (talk) 11:36, 3 March 2016 (EST)

If it wouldn't be too massive, a small chart detailing the prices for all crops could certainly work if people want it, but that still seems like overkill.--Jurk0wski (talk) 11:55, 3 March 2016 (EST)

Pickles

  • Pumpkin - 690g
  • Yam - 370g
  • Tomato - 170g

Jelly

  • Starfruit - 1650g
  • Ancient Fruit - 160g (maybe there's a bug in the display? I sold this and the Starfruit Jelly on the same day, and expected the Ancient Fruit to sell for more.)
  • Ancient Fruit - 1550g
  • Cranberries - 310g
  • Pomegranate - 330g (This has been stable across a number of days.)
  • Strawberry - 290g
  • Melon - 550g

Wine

  • "Wine" (From a gift, not crafted) - 400g
  • Ancient Fruit - 2250g
  • Pomegranate - 420g
  • Melon - 750g

Animal Products

  • Mayonnaise (normal quality) sold 110 with rancher skill so I think there may be an error, normal price would be 100/125/150
  • Cheese (cow's) sold 110 too, same issue
  • maybe 150/187/225 is with Large eggs/milk ?

Artisan Perk

We should probably mention the artisan perk of +50% value somewhere in the header, with examples. It would help stop some people erroneously editing various prices, and it would show people a related skill they could get if they wanted to focus artisan goods. --Jurk0wski (talk) 23:52, 6 March 2016 (EST)

Bees

Anyone in a position where they can test/update how bees behave when in range of more than one flower type? --PenguinTod (talk) 13:39, 8 March 2016 (EST)

--- Closest flower takes priority. At equal distance, more expensive flower takes priority.
Tested in autumn on Fairy Rose and dead Poppy (dead flowers affect bees - 1.04 bug) and then in spring on Tulip and Blue Jazz. /Elipod

Thank you much! --PenguinTod (talk) 17:00, 9 March 2016 (EST)

Preserves Time

Can we please verify the time for pickling vegetables and jamming fruit? Previously it was 80hours and ? hours, then someone changed them to 4 days and 2 days (IMO, less useful, as we want accurate times not "good enough"). Now someone changed them back to hours, but now they're both "about" 54 hours (once again, not that useful). I'd test it myself, but my game is currently in winter with nothing growing. --Jurk0wski (talk) 06:48, 10 March 2016 (EST)

Just tested preserving salmonberries, it finishes during the time you sleep two days from when you start the preserving. I started the preserve on Fall 2nd at 6:20 am,slept for 24 hours, and then watched it till Fall 3rd 1:50am. They were finished when i left the house on the 4th at 6:00am. Seems to be a finish time between 44-48 hours. --Spiderinacan (talk)14:07, 11 March 2016 (EST)

Just tested preserving Crystal Fruit and Blackberries. It took exactly 60 hours for both to complete. If you're seeing times under that, then it must vary by crop or some other variable is involved, e.g. skills, hidden perk effects, season, etc. Sabotage (talk) 13:20, 12 March 2016 (EST)

Oil Maker Times

Wiki says it's 2 days, but that's only correct if you use Corn (and maybe Sunflower Seeds, haven't tested this one yet). If you use Sunflowers to make oil, it gets a lot faster (one hour i think). Reasoning behind that may be that Corn is usually worth less than Oil, while a golden Sunflower is actually worth more than Oil, so converting it shouldn't consume as much time...

Large Eggs/Milk

Do Large Eggs produce better Mayonaise or have any special effects other than being used in a bundle and being sold for more? -- Kapra (talk) 01:00, 16 March 2016 (EDT)

Based on my experience, Large Eggs always produce gold quality Mayonnaise when used for that purpose. --PenguinTod (talk) 01:26, 16 March 2016 (EDT)

Display

There seems to be an error on the display for the link to all the Artisan Goods, it currently says "Keg]]". Would someone please sort that out? --Teh Matocan (talk) 18:57, 19 March 2016 (PST)
