Hey, Just a small question: On the sheet with the monster eradication goals inside the guild house this monster is called "Dust Sprite". not "Dust Spirit". Is this an ingame mistake or was is just misread on creating this page?

I named them based off what they were called in the game files, "Dust Spirits". Many of the monster eradication goals names do not match with the name of the monster, such as with Shadow Brutes and Shadow Shamans being called "Void Spirits". I'm not even sure if the shadow monsters ARE the void spirits. Working out some kind of system to help people looking for information on enemies based on the eradication goals poster is an important step towards better monster organization. As a simple first step, I've created a "Dust Sprite" page that redirects to this one, for anyone searching them by that name.

I know from my own personal game development experience, when an item or monster or level has 2 similar sounding names I use interchangeably in my head like "spirit" and "sprite", I end up using both names in different places. I wonder if the difference in names was intentional or just a confusion?

Ah thanks for the answer. I'm pretty new here, so I just forgot the signature.

Respawning

Historically, you could farm these pretty easily by using the elevator to travel between floors 50 and 55 to force a respawn of the floor. However, this strategy does not seem to work anymore in patch 1.5. Does anyone know the optimal way of respawning Dust Sprites now? --Zamiel (talk) 18:47, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

I believe this changed with version 1.4 -- floor reset was buggy (you had to wait 10 minutes in-game before floors would reset); with 1.4 it changed to resetting as soon as you exited to the mines entrance. It seems that the page was never updated.
I just tested with 1.5, and floors reset at the mines entrance (and not by using the elevator to go between 55 and 60 for example), so I've changed the page. Feel free to edit/ask a question if any of this is unclear! margotbean (talk) 19:07, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks Margo. Yup, it looks like warping between floors 0 and 55 over and over seems to be the best way to farm them. --Zamiel (talk) 06:15, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
