Visiting Krobus for the first time, it was Sat. 6 Spring of year 2 and he was also selling pumpkin soup for 330. It let me buy 5 of them and then he sold out.

Infinite Iridium Sprinklers bug?

There appears to be a bug in the 1.3 beta. You can buy an iridium sprinkler on Friday and it disappears from his inventory. But once you close out and then open back up, the iridium sprinkler is back and available for purchase.

1.3.10 was pushed today - try updating the game and see if you can replicate the bug. If so, you should report it on the Chucklefish forums: https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/stardew-valley-multiplayer-beta-known-issues-fixes.142850/ --margotbean (talk) 16:58, 9 May 2018 (BST)
It replicated and I reported. Thank you. FightMe (talk) 21:57, 10 May 2018
Seems that the bug was not fixed. Still possible for me after release today. --EASY (talk) 17:05, 1 August 2018 (BST)
I'll add it to the page, since it seems it'll be around for a little while longer. margotbean (talk) 20:03, 1 August 2018 (BST)

Cooked dish exploit

Does anyone know if this pattern is limited to v 1.3? I play on console and from what I can tell there is no pattern to the prices of the dishes; I have found them to occasionally be slightly cheaper than the sell price but never as low as 50/60G Kaori kins (talk) 02:30, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

I can only verify that it's true with v1.3 on PC. margotbean (talk) 17:13, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

Housemate Krobus makes dating partners single bug?

When Krobus moves in with you all your boyfriends and girlfriends become listed as "single". This is probably due to the housemate mechanics being very similar to the marriage mechanics. However, the player's relationship with Krobus is explicitly platonic, so I find it odd that you would have to break up with everyone just to have a roommate. I imagine this is something that was overlooked when the marriage code was reused. Makes me wonder if, after you give Krobus the pendant but before he moves in, if you go to the Stardew Valley fair and have your fortune read by Welwick, Welwick would say something about you going to break a lot of hearts. (Which is what she says if you're engaged to a player but you've given a bouquet to other players) Also, does anyone know if Krobus gets jealous if you give gifts to dateable NPCs? I also think that you can adopt/raise children (platonically) with Krobus, but all my knowledge is from my own file, where I gave him the void pendant after I already had two kids. So he can't ask me to adopt a kid, but he does have dialogue about the children. For example, he said "This house has been blessed with two children, now... Does that mean Yoba approves of our unconventional living arrangement?" which seems to imply that you can gain children while living with Krobus unmarried. If anyone has found the time to update all their mods to 1.4 I encourage them to mess around with this new housemate thing. Jjbean (talk) 05:57, 30 November 2019 (UTC)

For my part, I saw the children dialog as well, but the developers assured me that you cannot have a child with Krobus. I can't speak to the rest. margotbean (talk) 16:45, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
Then I think the crux of the rest is: can you have a spouse (or even a dating relationship) with roommate Krobus? I would suggest to the developers that in the absence of any of that kind of friendliness with Krobus, that it is completely reasonable to expect that those relationships be allowed to proceed unhindered. Cohabitation does not imply anything more than itself. Butterbur (talk) 23:22, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
You can give bouquets to people while living with Krobus, but for some reason it will still say "single" even though the bouquet will be there. Also if you try to propose to someone the game says "You can't propose to someone while living with a housemate" which doesn't make sense by itself. It make sense that you can't have a live-in spouse while Krobus also lives with you, because he said that nobody else can know about him. That popup message should mention something about that. Also it's kind of weird that evicting him makes him hate you, but I guess to shadow beasts a housemate is like a very, very strong platonic relationship, and deciding he can't live with you therefore ends that friendship... oh well. I was hoping Krobus would be like a way to have the benefits of a spouse (sometimes they do chores, give you gifts, etc) without all the complications that come with being married. But really I guess shadow brutes don't have spouses, so this is like their equivalent, and it's just as complex. Jjbean (talk) 03:52, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Krobus' Gender?

This page currently refers to Krobus with he/him pronouns. Is Krobus canonically male? I was under the impression it was a similar situation to the Dwarf. Kupiakos (talk) 04:33, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

I don't think any of the regular dialogue clarifies, but he's male in the data files:
"Krobus": "adult/polite/shy/neutral/male/secret/null/Other/winter 1//Sewer 31 17/Krobus"
