Dwarvern Language Primer

Could someone confirm with my experience that the Dwarvern Language Primer (it may be called something else, I cannot recall) is obtained after submitting Scrolls I-IV to the museum? I'd like to maybe add that to this page if someone can corroborate.

--Carrotte: Already added.

Sloth Skeleton

I just got "Sloth Skeleton R" and "Sloth Skeleton M" from Gunther as rewards for donating. I've donated around 70 things/artefacts and didn't get the last skeleton part yet. I've tried to google it but you cannot find anything about this skeleton. I can't be the only one who got this skeleton. Help!?!

Edit: Screenshot 1[1] | Screenshot 2 [2] | Screenshot 3 [3]

I got a "Sloth Skeleton M" after donating the ribs. I also had a tail and I want to say one other fossil donated. --PenguinTod (talk) 18:56, 5 March 2016 (EST)

Miregal: I got the "Sloth Skeleton L" for the donation of the "Skeletal Hand".

Wolfblood: Well this is kinda strange. I've donated the Skeletal Hand first and got nothing. There are 7 bone pieces. Once I got the skeleton parts at donation 5, 6 and 7 of the bone pieces. I really don't understand the system. Maybe we should write down that you've to collect all bone pieces?

Miregal: Done. Hope everyone's okay with it.

"Burnt Offering"

Carrotte: I've added from 30 donations to 60 and I never saw that "burnt offering" so it must be from an item key, not an amount of donations. Please corroborate!

BrickFoot: I can corroborate. I've donated 79 items to the museum so far and still no sign of the "burnt offering".

I got it after donating a Rare Disc; I've updated the page accordingly. --PenguinTod (talk) 16:30, 6 March 2016 (EST)

Jaena: I previously donated a Rare Disc and did not receive Burnt Offering, but did receive one after donating a Dwarf Gadget...???

Irrimn: The Burnt Offering is received after donating a minimum of 11 Artifacts (note, minerals do not count towards this total, for a list of items that count see the artifacts page), the Rare Disc and the Dwarf Gadget. I had an edit that was undone so I decided to make an imgur gallery as proof that the Dwarf Gadget is required for the Burnt Offering available here: http://imgur.com/a/FNFlh -- as you can see in the images, I started with a save that had donated 0 items (artifacts or minerals), then proceeded to donate a considerable number of artifacts only except the Dwarf Gadget, and did not receive the Burnt Offering. I then donated just the Dwarf Gadget and received the Burnt Offering. This should be sufficient proof that the Dwarf Gadget is required. As a side note, please don't undo people's edits if you "can't confirm" them simply because you haven't tested the information presented. Only remove them if you can confirm that the information given is false.

Crystalarium

Miregal: Just donated item no. 78 and got a "Crystalarium" as reward. I'm not sure if I got this for the item I donated (Lemon Stone) or for the amount of donations.

BrickFoot: I've just received the Crystalarium as a reward as well, also at donation number 78 I believe. My donation was an opal, so I think it's safe to say that the Crystalarium is a reward for the 78th donation.

Miregal: Could also be that you get the Crystalarium if you donated all of the minerals if you ask me. Someone here who got the Crystalarium without having donated all the minerals?

Definitely seems to be an amount of minerals as I've just got the Crystalarium after donation 86.

Miregal: No. Meanwhile I donated every mineral and did not get it.

DEMikey: I donated 50 minerals, soapstone being the last I donated, and I got the crystalarium. Also have 24 artifacts donated.

We should look into what the crystalarium can replicate as those minerals might be the ones that unlock it from gunther.

Miregal:I used TrainerMod.dll/SMAPI to test it again and got it after the donation of 50 minerals, too. No artifacts were donated.

Flute Block

Miregal: I got a flute block as a reward. Pretty sure it's because of the item I donated: Bone flute

That matches my experience, too. --PenguinTod (talk) 15:08, 7 March 2016 (EST)

Miregal: Added it. Hope everyone is okay with that. If not just delete it.

Stardrop

Miregal: Completed the collection with a total of 105 donations. Reward was a stardrop and an achievement.

Miregal: I was totally wrong. Fixed it now.

Rusty Key

Just got the Rust Key. Do not have Rarecrow #7 Oath2order (talk) 22:52, 7 March 2016 (EST)

Some things are horribly wrong here

To be honest I'm using the TrainerMod.dll to test a few things.

  • Singing Stone: Never mind. 21 donated minerals = Singing Stone
  • Rare Crow #7: Never mind. 20 donated artifacts = Rarecrow #7
  • Skeleton: Never mind. 15 donated artifacts = Skeleton
  • Standing Geode: Never mind. 11 donated minerals = Standing Geode
  • Obsidian Vase: Never mind. 31 donated minerals = Obsidian Vase
  • Bear Statue: Got it after donation 50 (Thunder Egg). Got it after 50 again (Star Shards). And after 50 again. So it has to be after 50 donations. Fixed it.
  • Crystal Chair: Never mind. 41 donated minerals = Crystal Chair
  • There are 102 spots for donations in the museum. But you get the achievement after donating 95 items. 95 fits with the amount of minerals (53) and artifacts (42). I fixed the list.
This helps a lot and definitely explains quite a few of the issues, thank you! Oath2order (talk) 14:08, 10 March 2016 (EST)

Notes section

I know nothing of editing wikis and just saw this and needed to point it out, the section about the hidden code in the book is directly related to the hidden statues ??Foroguemon?? • ??HMTGF?? • ??Pinky Lemon?? its hints telling you how to get them not alternate names to things. using a strange bun on vicent's toy box gets you ??Foroguemon??, useing a super cucumber on a box in town gets you ??HMTGF??, and using duck mayonaise on the box in the saloon gets you ??Pinky Lemon??. this needs to be updated here and on all 3 of their pages, its very good that someone found the hints for these things inside the game but it seams the connection was missed up till now.

Bottom Left Table

Thanks, Margotbean. I hadn't looked at the other photo in a long time. As for the depicted arrangement: ah, the attractions of symmetry. But the Prismatic Shard is unreachable, which I don't prefer, so I won't be using that arrangement. Perhaps others will feel that way. Symmetry can be maintained by placing the Prismatic Shard front and center on the top row and distributing the other items around the edges of the table, using the two corners avoided in the depiction. Leave the six unreachable tiles empty, plus the one at the center of the bottom row, and symmetry is maintained even while allowing access to everything. Harmful Complete Collection image

The complete collection example image is harmful because 1. It is not in any particular canonical order (Wiki or in-game) and 2. It has a Mineral (Petrified Slime) among the Artifacts. It should be removed until something helpful can be added. Tom Haws (talk) 07:28, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

In my opinion, there is nothing "harmful" about it. We are all free to put items in any order we wish. The wiki pic is not my own "best" idea either, but I think there is only a matter of preferences. I would suggest creating your own order, take a screenshot, and use that. It's not like the collection itself has changed at any time. Butterbur (talk) 14:37, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Harmful in the sense that this wiki is deemed a canonical source of lists, and I tried to use that image to check my collection but was frustrated because my artifacts seemed to come up short until I realized there was a mineral among the artifacts. The idea image (regardless of how anybody may arrange their collection) would have the same order as the Artifacts and Minerals wiki pages. Tom Haws (talk) 22:49, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
I can't but disagree. The order of presentation in the inventory is one thing, and the wiki page listings are in tables that are sortable at will by the values in each column. However, creating a grouping you like for placement in the museum is up to you. You'll never get the wiki pages to match automatically the inventory ordering, and if you want to place things in the museum to match one of the others, that's your choice. But none need (or even can) match each other. Checking your collection is admittedly a problem, but it's not solvable with this approach unless that's your priority. I think the wiki does better to present alternatives. Pick your favorite, or use your own. Butterbur (talk) 07:02, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. This brings up an interesting side question. Should the wiki tables have an Inventory Menu order column since—as you point out—the default order is not guaranteed to match. (In my experience, the wiki order is stable, but it does not in fact match the Inventory Menu order.) Tom Haws (talk) 02:40, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
The Collections article contains images of artifacts and minerals (separately), just as depicted in the inventory tab. I'd suggest that it might be of some use to you for checking. And I think that's all that's needed in the wiki to support that particular ordering. The sorted table already does what sorted tables do, and that's enough for that. Butterbur (talk) 06:24, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Fair enough. I may add text pointing that out. Tom Haws (talk) 07:27, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
I found the picture very helpful (I had things in no particular order and couldn’t determine what I was missing). The sizes of the tables makes grouping tricky and I can imagine lots of different ways to organize things. I would be interested in seeing other approaches. I do agree with the one poster, though, that the wiki will be seen by some as canonical. Maybe we should have a couple of different images. Popsy (talk) 17:13, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
