Access to water

Slimes produce Slime Balls, and do so only when given access to water via the troughs in the Slime Hutch.

Well, I've played with a layout (from this tutorial) where they don't have access to the water troughs and still create the balls. The troughs must be filled, but they don't need to have "access" to them.

An actual condition not mentioned on the article though is the flooring. Slime balls do not spawn over crafted flooring. This can be used to make them spawn outside the fences (if any is used), covering all the fenced floor with any kind of flooring. But if you cover all the hutch tiles with flooring, slime balls will never spawn. Sapador (talk) 23:21, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
