Exploit

FWIW, the exploit does not seem to work as advertised on my system (Windows 10 PC on Steam). Acting as described in the article (mounted, directly south of the obelisk), I am warped to the beach but the horse does not come with me.

However, if I dismount, leaving the horse on a tile adjacent to the obelisk, and then move to another tile also adjacent to the obelisk, and interact, then we both are transported. When we arrive, I am mounted again. It seems that the horse and I do not even have to be adjacent to each other for this to work, as long as we each are adjacent to the tile I touch on the obelisk.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Should the description be changed? Or is this perhaps some sort of platform difference? After all, platforms with controllers have been known to show minor distinctions from PCs. Butterbur (talk) 01:04, 11 April 2018 (BST)

I've looked at the page histories for Earth & Water Obelisk, and the editor who added the part about 'you must be on the horse at the time' did so with the comment "I can't get it to work right." This leads me to think it never worked as described on the current page.
Personally, I cannot get the exploit to work unless I am not on the horse. Funny enough, I just watched a youtube video explaining how to use this exploit, and the video agrees that you cannot be on the horse for it to work.
So, yes, change the description (on both pages, please)! But one note -- you can be adjacent to the horse, or you can park the horse and walk into him until you occupy the same tile as the horse, then interact with the obelisk, and the exploit will work.
Have fun making all that succinct... :D --margotbean (talk) 17:42, 11 April 2018 (BST)
p.s. I think we can remove all references to which version this started with, and just describe how it works right now. margotbean (talk) 17:44, 11 April 2018 (BST)
Thanks! All done. Butterbur (talk) 23:37, 11 April 2018 (BST)
Cool beans, good job. I've restored the history sections, because I meant we don't have to say "As of v1.xyz, you can teleport your horse...." not that the history section should be deleted. lol, my bad. margotbean (talk) 23:43, 11 April 2018 (BST)
Yeah, I wasn't sure. lol, my bad too. Butterbur (talk) 01:28, 12 April 2018 (BST)

Error?

This video (Serch up top 7 most expensive items bc the wiki wont let me use external links) (Pauseand go to 4:40) Shows a 3x3 area being used, not 3x2 Redoct878 (talk) 21:00, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

The footprint was changed with v1.4 (see the "History" section on the page). margotbean (talk) 21:23, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
