Yam/root trick removed?

I was confused when I read about the yam/root digging trick because it didn't work for me. I'm assuming it got removed in a recent update or something?--Enkidu (talk) 16:40, 14 October 2016 (BST)

Here a video of the said bug and how it's done: [1]. My save game is not in the winter so I can't test this myself right now. If you can't reproduce it, it's fair to assume it got patched. --Vg-tal (talk) 19:12, 14 October 2016 (BST)
