Ghostfish

If you discover which specific mod allows you to catch ghostfish on level 100 of the mines, then you should contact the mod maker, so the error can be fixed or noted in the release notes. The wiki really isn't the place to add notes about which mods change which behavior, because that would be way too much information that changes constantly.

It's no problem about the edit(s). Just make sure to disable mods next time! I really do try to test every edit to make sure it's correct!  :) margotbean (talk) 19:56, 7 September 2018 (BST)

Wood

The page says "several buildings and upgrades" at the carpenter's shop, which is enough. Copy/pasting such a large amount of information would be better done by transclusion anyway. There is no need for 6 (soon to be 10) other languages to have to translate such a HUGE table.

Please be more careful with your edits. Use the "Show preview" button to make sure they look good before committing changes. And please check the quality of images you compress before you upload them. I'm having to do a lot of cleanup lately. Thanks very much, margotbean (talk) 00:21, 7 October 2018 (BST)

Editing Guidelines

I saw your comments on Margotbean's talk page and wanted to help provide some direction since you'd asked. Specifically edits which require copying in a bunch of information which is stored on another page is something which is best to discuss first - ideally in a talk page. Sandboxes can be a second step if you'd like to mock something out, but more commonly used to experiment with formatting or redesigning then for "approvals" or anything like that. As a rule of thumb if you're making information 'live' in more places transclusion is ideal.

The ultimate goal is to keep the wiki accurate, and the most effective way to do that is to keep information from being copied in a bunch of different places. There's a number of transclusion templates already being used, and if you'd like to discuss other ideas to integrate them then that's great. It's a little more complicated from an editing side, but ultimately we've found it works extremely well for helping keep things accurate - especially on translated pages.

Your interest in better structuring information is what's detailed in every discussion page, so I hope you don't feel like your interest in editing/helping out is unwelcome!
