Stardew Predictor

I've added links to your utility to the Traveling Cart and Mines pages. I've been using it, and it seems to be 100% accurate. (Yahoo!)

One potential bug: for the feast of the Winter Star, the predictor says Sandy is going to give me a gift. But, Sandy never attends the festival.

Otherwise, awesome job, I really love the utility! I will continue testing, and hopefully others will as well. Maybe you could add a contact link to the utility page, at least for a while, so people can let you know if it works for them or not? Just a thought. I'm honestly not sure you're even going to see this message... margotbean (talk) 16:51, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the note and for doing some testing on your end. Regarding the Winter Star, that is something I plan to test myself since I've seen Marlon, the Wizard, and the Dwarf show up on the list from some of my saves. I'll have to come up with a good contact method (I'd like to avoid just slapping an email address on the app's page), but for now the best ways to contact me would probably be private message on reddit or the stardew forums. Deleting Pages

Hey, Mousey, sorry for butting in, but I noticed there are a couple of blank pages in your user space. If you ever want a page deleted, just put {{delete}} on the page, and I can delete it for you. Again, sorry for intruding on your work in progress (I'm not reading/judging it, no worries!), just wanted to let you know I'm happy to do cleanup, since I can delete pages, and to point you to Template:Delete in case you didn't know about it. Cheers! margotbean (talk) 20:43, 22 September 2018 (BST)

Thanks! I was wondering about that and was probably just going to end up asking Pathos to delete stuff once the pages were ready to be published, but that's much easier. MouseyPounds (talk) 22:11, 22 September 2018 (BST)

Thanks

Just wanted to say a word of thanks to you for your very helpful SV Helpers and Check utilities! I use them continually. Butterbur (talk) 02:41, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Data Mining 1.4.2

Thank you!!! Will let you know if I ever find any inaccuracies, though I'll never get off this wiki updating train, so I'll probably never have time to play the game again. :P margotbean (talk) 06:14, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Traveling Cart v1.4

I made the assumption that since duplicate items were eliminated, that all items had an equal chance of appearing. But BlaDe commented on the talk page that may not be the case. I find myself completely unable to mentally process the code right now (and it's been that way since v1.4 released), so I was wondering if you have the time and the inclination, perhaps you could take a look at the code and see if BlaDe is right. I did run some old v1.0, v1.2, v1.3, and v1.4 saves throuh the Predictor webpage, and saw an awful lot of Tulips, so I suspect he is right.

The percentages that used to be on the page were requested by one user in 2016, so I don't know if we need to go through and calculate % for every item (they will have changed due to additions and deletions in her possible stock), but I could remove the statement saying they all have an equal chance of appearing, at the very least.

Thanks, and don't feel obligated in any way! margotbean (talk) 21:19, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Here's the dump from Underscore who ran a simulation of 1000000 visits:
https://pastebin.com/pFQeV3fd
I plan on crunching the numbers to come up with the proper numbers. The way the duplication is prevented is if the same item is pulled, it is disregarded and another roll is done. BlaDe (talk) 02:15, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, BlaDe is right; they definitely aren't equal chances. The first item slot is straightforward to calculate (that part is similar to 1.3 and causes the unbalanced chances), but then the probabilities for the next slot change because of the anti-duplication code. So the overall chance of seeing item X on a given week is a real pain to calculate. - MouseyPounds (talk) 02:43, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks so much, I've removed the sentence from the Traveling Cart page, and I'm good with that!  :) margotbean (talk) 18:21, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Stardew Checkup

Hi. Sorry, I don't use the forums and have no login there. But I found a nit in your (terrific) checkup app you might want to know about. Under the "Social" category, Pam's 9 hearts event lights up red as soon as you get to 9 hearts with Pam. The nit is that you can't see that event until 4 days after you complete the Community Upgrade. So there needs to be a dual check. Butterbur (talk) 01:52, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

I'll keep that in mind, but it is a pretty niche circumstance. Thanks for letting me know. :) MouseyPounds (talk) 00:04, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Definitely "nitche". :) Butterbur (talk) 04:15, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
