Re:

Ohhh, I see what you mean. Yeah, there's a template I know of on some other wiki I work on, "mainonly" that makes it so the categories only apply for the main-namespace. I'll look into that, thanks for explaining what you were doing, makes sense :) Oath2order (talk) 17:13, 21 March 2016 (EDT)

Just saw you took care of all those. That's awesome! --NibKing (talk) 00:17, 22 March 2016 (EDT)

Weapons

The information is coming from the game itself. I'm using CJB's item spawner menu which lists every item in the game currently. Need I say more? The items are all in the game, they're all functional (except for what I believe to be a new rod, the "Yew Rod", but giving it to yourself crashes the game to the desktop), so what's the problem? They're just not obtainable...yet (maybe, who knows? I'm not the dev, so I can't say for certain). Cero Miedo (talk) 04:40, 14 October 2016 (BST)

Also, a potential solution would be to just add an "Unobtainable" bit to the template and list the unobtainable weapons there. Either that, or create an entirely separate Navbox for "future content" (because I'm looking at sprites extracted from the game right now and I can see plenty of unused/possible future content sprites. Wouldn't hurt to add that type of thing to this wiki. Cero Miedo (talk) 04:44, 14 October 2016 (BST)
Sorry if you're getting edit conflict'd, but I just remembered that there was already items listed without "where to obtain them" when I signed up. Look at Tempered Broadsword for example. That weapon was listed as a Dagger (it's a Sword, not a Dagger). And it doesn't have info on how to obtain it (I think because it's unobtainable currently). Look at Rapier, it says "It is obtained from ." right on the page. Cero Miedo (talk) 04:50, 14 October 2016 (BST)
The potential issue with doing something like this is that it can easily create confusion, speculation (which is what a wiki often strives to avoid), and unnecessary work in regards to editing the wiki. Developers add and remove code all the time, and there's likely a good reason why it hasn't been or never will be added to the game. If the information is going to be added though, then I think it should be made clear to readers that the items are "unobtainable" (adding separate sections like you mentioned) so their time isn't wasted trying to figure out where to find it ingame. --NibKing (talk) 05:09, 14 October 2016 (BST)
Thank god for this edit conflict. I was about to post a whole huge message about how I was gonna save myself future aggravation and just quit editing this wiki entirely, and I hit "Save page" and got edit conflict'd by your response which was not the response I was expecting to get (honestly, I was expecting you to tell me off or something). I think you'll be happy to see I left a commented-out bit in the weapons navbox with an already-done-up "Unobtainable Weapons" category. I should also clarify that since seeing your response, I'm not going to quit :P Cero Miedo (talk) 05:13, 14 October 2016 (BST)
You missed some when you removed my work from Weapons. There's other weapons that were added without locations: Rapier, Kudgel, Elf Blade, Tempered Broadsword, Yeti Tooth and Shadow Dagger. Those were added I-don't-know-when by I-don't-know-who, and they still don't have locations yet. 💀 (talk) 05:26, 14 October 2016 (BST)
Yep, I left a message in my edit saying I was researching the other weapons without a given location. If I don't come up with anything though, I'm just gonna leave a "Confirmation Needed" note in the location field. --NibKing (talk) 05:29, 14 October 2016 (BST)
