The Apricot Tree is a type of fruit tree in Stardew Valley. It takes 28 days to grow to maturity, after which it will produce one Apricot each day during the Spring. It can only grow in the center of a 3x3 square, each square of which must be kept completely clear, including the canopy of other trees. Once matureobjects, the surrounding tiles no longer need to be kept clear. Since they bear fruit in springflooring, it’s best to plant the sapling during summer, fall, or the first day of winterand terrain features (including grass).
For each full year since after maturing, fruit trees will produce higher quality fruit, up to iridium star quality after three years. Note that fruit quality will not increase if the surrounding tiles are not kept completely clear. Several players have reported that crafted floors and paths as well as grass do not hinder the progression of quality fruit.
If struck by lightning during a storm, the tree will produce Coal for a number of 4 days instead of fruit.
Fruit trees can be planted in the Greenhouse.
