Quality
Does the Crystalarium currently duplicate the quality of the gem put in (in the case of ones like Fire Quartz, which can come in gold star quality)? --Frission (talk) 10:51, 16 March 2016 (EDT)

More desert trader tips
Duplicating quartz to trade for bombs (5 quartz for 1 bomb at the Desert Trader) for more efficient mining can also be worthwhile. If you plan to spend money buying bombs (600g) at the Dwarf's shop, this actually makes quartz more profitable than diamond in the Crystalarium. LilyStarr (talk) 19:18, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Even more desert trader tips
If you have the Artisan profession, duplicating Emeralds and then trading them to the Desert Trader for cheese is the most profitable option (154.6 g/day) as long as you don't also have the Gemologist profession.
