Solar Essence

I've noticed that the infobox says the Ghost has both a 95% and 10% chance to drop Solar Essence. What does this mean? --Ianwhite1302 (talk) 15:54, 5 August 2017 (BST)

Hello Ianwhite1302 -- It means a ghost may drop two solar essences. 95% chance of one and a separate 10% chance of another. margotbean (talk) 18:55, 5 August 2017 (BST)
Thanks! --Ianwhite1302 (talk) 05:50, 6 August 2017 (BST)

Gold Ore Drop

I've noticed that the infobox says the Gold Ore drop chance as ?? and when I check the monster Info data file, there is no Gold Ore in its droplist, however, it does drop some Gold Ore in game, so how does this happen and what exact chance for it to drop Gold Ore? Fblthp (talk) 01:36, 8 January 2019

Turns out Gold Ore is listed for ghosts in Monsters.xnb, just in an obscure format. Specifically the fifth entry, '-6 .2', translates into '20% chance of 1-3 gold ore'. Details: GameLocation::monsterDrop takes negative ID values (if (objectToAdd < 0)) and turns them into requests for 1-3 copies. Debris::Debris then has code that converts debrisType=6 into 384 (along with similar conversions for all even values from 0 to 14). Only a handful of monsters use this negative ID format: ghosts are the only ones with gold ore handled this way; the other usage is '-4 .1' meaning '10% chance of 1-3 coal,' which appears for sludge, shadow brutes, and shadow shamans.
