Tips
*During year 1, it's cheaper to buy wood from the Carpenter's Shop and use a Charcoal Kiln to make your own coal than it is to buy coal from the Blacksmith's. Starting in year 2, the price of wood increases from 10 to 50, so it is cheaper to purchase coal.
*In order to avoid missing a day of watering, water your crops then start the upgrade to your Watering Can when the weather report indicates rain the next day. Your plants will be watered that day by yourself, the following day by the rain, and you can pick up the can the day after that. You can also upgrade your watering can near the end of a season, if you know you have nothing in the ground that will bear fruit.
*Instead of buying Gold Ore and Coal to smelt Gold Bar it is cheaper to buy Iron Ore and craft the Iron Bar to Gold Bar. Requires Mining Level 7. This also cuts the smelting time from 5h to 2h, assuming you use more than 1 Furnace. This saves you 350 per Gold Bar in the first year and 1000 in every other year, per Gold Barin year2+.
