==Quests==
2-3 Omni Geodes may be requested by [[Octopus]], [[Rainbow Trout]], [[Spook Fish]], [[Sturgeon]], or [[Super Cucumber]] in a [[Fish Pond#Quests|Fish Pond quest]] to increase the capacity of the pond from 5 to 7.
==Farming Strategy==
In order to complete all of the objectives in the game, you will need a lot of Omni Geodes:
* In the early game, it is common to spend them on [[Warp Totem: Desert]] so that you don't have to wait on Pam for [[Skull Cavern]] runs.
* In the mid-game, you will need [[Clint]] to break open around 300 to 500 in order to get all of the minerals (for the museum).
* In the mid-game, you will want to spend them on [[Artifact Trove]]s (for the museum). This is usually the best way to get most of the artifacts (although some specific artifacts cannot be gotten this way).
* In the end-game, if you are trying to acquire every hat in the game, you will need 716 to give to the [[Desert Trader]].
===Early Game & Mid-Game===
Early on, there is no specific way to farm Omni Geodes other than by doing standard [[Skull Cavern]] runs. The typical Skull Caverns strategy is to rarely use your pickaxe, and instead use [[Bomb]]s and [[Mega Bomb]]s whenever you see a medium-to-large patch of rocks. Thus, from blowing up all of the rocks, you will naturally acquire around 25 to 50 Omni Geodes a day, depending on how many explosives you use.
===End-Game===
Even with millions of gold at your disposal, the Skull Caverns is still the best way to farm lots of Omni Geodes. Massing [[Octopus]] in [[Fish Pond]]s has an abysmal rate of return. The only other option is to buy a lot of [[Statue of Endless Fortune]], which takes an absurd amount of money and isn't viable.
However, in the end-game you can farm Omni Geodes in the Skull Caverns at a rate much quicker than than before:
* Pay 10,000g to re-spec to the Excavator profession. (This is essential, as it doubles your drops.)
* Use two [[Iridium Band]]s for the double magnet effect.
* Either craft or purchase as many [[Mega Bomb]]s as you can. (You can buy them from the [[Dwarf]].)
* Build up as many [[Crystalarium]]s as you can for mass-duplication of [[Jade]]. Trade Jade for [[Staircase]]s as the [[Desert Trader]].
* Ideally, you should be starting a Skull Caverns run with 300+ Mega Bombs and 300+ Staircases.
* Immediately staircase past any floors which are not wide-open and easy to Mega Bomb.
* Otherwise, plant 2-3 Mega Bombs on the floor. Intentionally take damage from the bombs so that you can grab the drops that much faster.
With this method you can finish a day at floor 200 or so with around 100 Omni Geodes farmed. It still takes a while to get enough for the hats, but it is not as bad as it could be.
