[[Winter Seeds]] are a type mix of seedseeds that produce the same wild, plants and food players forage during the winter seasonal cycle. Mature plants yield, at random, a [[Winter Root]], [[Crystal Fruit]], [[Snow Yam]], or [[Crocus]]. They are the only type of seeds used to grow plants and food outdoors (without a [[greenhouse]]) during the harsh winter.
Crafting with the four crops required produces 10 seeds, but placing [[Winter Root]] into [[Seed Maker]] produces 1 to 3 seeds. The [[Seed Maker]] does not accept the other three Winter Foraging crops: [[Crystal Fruit]], [[Snow Yam]], and [[Crocus]]. With four crops, the [[Seed Maker]] can produce between 4 seeds minimum and 12 seeds maximum. This makes crafting the superior source of Winter Seeds, especially since crafting takes no time, whereas the [[Seed Maker]] requires time.
