'''Slime''' is a [[Monster Loot]] item which is dropped by [[Slimes]]. Killing a single Slime will give you one or two Slime. Slime can also be obtained from [[Slime Ball]]s or purchased from [[Krobus]] for {{price|10}} on Mondays. The color of a slime determines its level, with green being the weakest. == Genders & Mating == [[File:MaleSlime.jpg|left]]Males are rarer than females and are characterized by having a wobbling antenna on their head. Occasionally a male will try to mate with a nearby female slime. When this occurs the male will have a small hearth icon over its head and will chase the female. If the female slime accepts his advances then she too will get a small hearth icon over her head and a slime baby will be born. (If at first she doesn't accept the male slime she will have a small exclamation mark over her head instead.) Slime babies are half the size of its parents, but have the same HP. Slime mating can be observed in the wild, but is probably easier to observe in the [[Slime Hutch#Mating|Slime Hutch]].
