The Hay Hopper is a tool that is provided as a standard item in Barns and Coops when those buildings are constructed. It cannot be picked up or moved. Its purpose is to move moves hay between a silo and the player's inventory (backpack). It comes with all Barns and Coops, and cannot be picked up or moved.
Its commonest use is to access the Once hay for distribution as food in a barn or a coop. The hay in the inventory is then ordinarily placed dispensed by right-clicking on the Feeding Bench in the buildingHay Hopper, where it can be placed on the feeding bench where animals can access eat it for feeding. Hay can be placed into a silo by holding the hay in inventory and right-clicking on the Hay Hopper.
If the player buys hay The Hay Hopper in a Deluxe Barn or otherwise acquires some (by gift, for example)Deluxe Coop has an autofeed system, and uses so hay is moved to the hopper while holding Feeding Bench automatically. This prevents the player from manually withdrawing hay, the hay moves from inventory into storage (a silo), as long as there is enough capacity therethe hopper. Hay can move in either directionstill be deposited into a Hay Hopper with an autofeed system.
==Tip==The hopper : Hay can be stored in a Deluxe Barn or Deluxe Coop has an automatic feeder attached so that hay is moved into the Feeding Bench whenever the bench is not full, relieving the player chest instead of this manual taska silo. However, the automatic feeder also prevents the player from withdrawing In order to store hay that is cut from grass on the hopperfarm in a chest, as the hopper only releases simply withdraw hay if there is space on from the feeding bench. Deposits are still possible because the hay goes into the silo(s). If you wish to withdraw hay into inventory (to gather hay for storage Hay Hopper and place it in a chest, for example), you must have . This requires at least one hopper in a building barn or coop that is not fully upgraded. Keeping a hay supply in this way makes it possible to run the farm with fewer silos because the chest acts as a manually-controlled backup storagean autofeed system.
