Crab pots are floated on the shores of bodies of water (lakes, ponds, rivers, or the ocean) and primed with [[Bait (item)|Bait]] in order to catch fish. Players with the [[Skills#Fishing|Luremaster profession]] don't need to refill the pots with bait.
Crab pots can be [[Crafting|crafted]], or purchased for {{price|1500}} at [[Fish Shop|Willy's Fish Shop]] once you've reached [[Skills#Fishing|fishing skill]] level 3. Three Crab Pots are the reward for completing the {{Bundle|Crab||y}}.

The Crab Pot may be used to catch a lobster for the [[Quests#Wanted Lobster|Wanted: Lobster Quest]].
==Tip==
When the [[Skills#Fishing|Luremaster Profession]] is taken, it becomes very easy to accidentally pick up your crab pots immediately after harvesting them. In order to prevent this from happening, a simple set of steps must be followed; First, clear your entire inventory bar. Secondly, select the furthest right empty inventory space. Finally, only harvest the crab pots via left-clicking. So long as you do not right click, and the selected inventory slot is not filled by harvested trash or fish, your character will not pick up the crab pots!
