'''Slime eggs''' can be obtained as rare drops from [[slimes]], Treasure Rooms in [[Skull Cavern]], or by putting 100 [[slime]] into a [[Slime Egg-Press]]. Purple and red Slime Eggs can also be found in Treasure Rooms in [[Skull Cavern]]. They can be sold at different prices depending on the color, or placed in a [[Slime Incubator]].
The color of egg produced from a Slime Egg-Press is random. There is a 5% chance the egg will be purple, 10% chance of red, 25% chance of blue, and 60% chance of green.
