Carpenter's Shop

Farm Buildings: building placement and obstructions, such as pet
Existing farm buildings can also be moved at the Carpenter's Shop. This action applies instantly and is free, requiring no construction time, gold, or resources other than your travel time to the Carpenter's Shop. The building's contents move along with the building, all as a unit. Unlike [[Chest|Chests]], a building does not need to be empty in order to be moved.
 
Buildings can be built on most tiles, arable or not. The game prevents building on a few tiles, such as some near the entrance to the cave. All tiles of the building footprint must be free of obstructions such as debris or plant growth. When you attempt to place the building while buying at the Carpenter's Shop, all tiles must be green; obstructed tiles are red. Farm animals do not obstruct building placement. Click to build, and they will be shunted aside. Your pet, however, does obstruct building placement and can cause placement to fail.
Tip: Building a [[Silo]] before building a [[Coop]] or [[Barn]] will allow [[Animals#Food|Hay]] to be stockpiled before it's required to feed animals.
