Rename

Some crops, by their nature, only have plural names. Like corn, or wheat. You cant have a wheat or a corn. You have wheat or corn. Other crops, have normal names. Like blueberry. You can have a blueberry, or several blueberries.

On this wiki, all crops have their main images be the singular of their name. See File:Blueberry.png, File:Ancient Fruit.png, File:Corn.png.

Except Cranberry. Can we please move this image to File:Cranberry.png --Zaz (talk) 13:39, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

That would be unwise for a couple of reasons. The "name" template relies on the image name matching the page name, and the name used in-game is "Cranberries", so the page name needs to be "Cranberries". In addition, the English wiki is the image repository for all 7 languages, so changes to image names made here require manual changes to all places where the image is used in all 7 languages. margotbean (talk) 16:42, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
Doesn't redirects work for images? Ah well. It wouldn't have helped with the hot pepper or green bean irregularities anyway since those moves would move new images into the names of the old ones. It is actually only the Hot pepper one that creates a real problem for me (look at the crop growth calendar page and you'll see exactly what it is.) Since the script assumes that the crop stages are in sequential order, it gets confused. I could - and have - easily add an exception that renames Cranberry in my script, and an exception for green beans that just increases the numbering by one. But hot pepper 4b becomes slightly troublesome. I'll se what I can do. --Zaz (talk) 21:38, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
