To attach bait or tackle to an Iridium Rod, open your inventory screen, click on the tackle or bait (left-click or right-click, depending on how many you want to pick up), and then right-click on the rod. To remove bait, right-click on the rod.
Tackles have a durability-bar, which decreases on use. They wear out after 20 uses, disappear, and need to be replaceddisappear. Tackle cannot be removed; they continue to be used until worn out. Then they can be replaced.
