This pendant is used to [[marriage|marry]] a character. The [[Old Mariner]] will be at the beach past the bridge that costs 300 wood to build. He will only appear on rainy days, so he never appears in the winter.

If you are married, the [[Old Mariner]] will appear, but will not sell you a Mermaid's Pendant. If you get divorced, you can purchase another one, which can be given to any romanceable [[Villagers|villager]].
