The '''Mermaid's Pendant''' is an item obtained from the [[Old Mariner]] for {{price|5000}} after you have reached [[friendship|10 hearts]] with a romanceable [[Villagers|villager]], given them a [[bouquet]], and have the [[Farmhouse#Upgrades|first farmhouse upgrade]]. This pendant is used to [[marriage|marry]] a character. The [[Old Mariner]] will be at the beach past the bridge that costs 300 wood to build. He will only appear on rainy days, so he never appears the only known way to get him to appear in the winteris to use [[Rain Totem]].
If you are married, the [[Old Mariner]] will appear, but will not sell you a Mermaid's Pendant. If you get divorced, you can purchase another one, which can be given to any romanceable [[Villagers|villager]].
