Someone brings your page up and clicks the "Add Topic" button, fills in the blanks, and the talking is on its way. You and someone else then edit the section alternately to keep going, adding new paragraphs to the bottom, and signing off with 4 tildes, which produces used ids and timestamps for individual messages. Talk to someone / anyone about an article on the article's talk page. This one's yours, for talking to you. But you can do what you want with it. Butterbur (talk) 15:32, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
