-- My best guess is that 11_6 and 25_6 mean that on the 11th and 25th of every season, if the player has at least 6 hearts with Abigail, the regular Spring schedule is followed. I'm not 100% sure though, and would appreciate somebody to help testing to see if I'm right, and if I am, how that affects the schedule on the 11th and 25th when the player also doesn't have six hearts with Sebastian, since that also affects the schedule on those days. I actually have an unfinished save file where I stalked Sebastian for about 5 seasons. On the 11th and 25th, Abigail sits on the sofa in Seb's bedroom (and he stands next to the sofa) until you have 6 hearts with him. Once you have 6 hearts (with Seb), Abigail does something else (I didn't stalk her), and Sebastian stands next to an empty sofa in his bedroom. margotbean (talk) 00:27, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

I've been hunting around the game code, and I cannot find where/why Abigail hates the Bone Flute. But I tested it, and sure enough, the info. is correct, she hates it! In fact, the only thing I found in the code for Abigail's hates was Clay... so I'm posting to ask where should I be looking? I've been looking in "getGiftTasteForThisItem" and "NPCGiftTastes" (as well as "ObjectInformation") -- what am I missing? Am I interpreting the code wrong, or is there another place to look? Are you sure she "hates" it and not "dislike"? Be careful which disposition (hate, dislike, neutral, like, love) you use.
Bone Flute is type "Arch" (in "ObjectInformation"). In "getGiftTasteForThisItem", you may have missed this line:

Hi BryghtShadow! Thanks so much for the reply! I have, in the time since my OP, though, solved the mystery of the hated artifacts. I got the decompiled game running well enough to test an Anchor, so I could step through the code.
It seems that "Arch" type objects have no Category Number listed in "ObjectInformation.yaml." When the object info is extracted in "getGiftTastForThisItem()," the blank Category # is defaulted to zero. And since zero is listed under Universal Hates in "NPCGiftTastes.yaml", NPCs react with the "Hate" response.
This took me 3 days of research to discover. I said I was a bit obsessed.  :)
As for why this page lists only the Bone Flute, I can't say. It seems to me that the page should be updated, but I'm reluctant to make sweeping changes without permission.

Mistakes in dialogue

I noticed that quartz is one of her likes, but the "like" message calls the item delicious. Does she eat minerals? :) Also, I thought her hair was clearly purple, but the quote on top of the article calls it blue. Am I confused or is it actually purple? The fact that Abigail calls gems (and other liked items) delicious is a running joke among Stardew players. There are many memes on the subreddit. As for her hair, if you follow the link to Dev Update #12, you will see that Abigail's hair was blue at that time in development. Special event (Rainy days?)

There is a special event that seems to happen (randomly) at (rainy) days.
When you enter the area of the Carpender shop at 1 PM (on a rainy day) will you encounter Abigail playing the flute under a tree. You'll approach her and she'll ask you what you do here. Your options are as follows (Note that those are from memory and might not be 100% accurate):

  • "Just doing some work" (Bad answer/Neutral?)
  • "Enjoying the weather" (Good answer)
  • "I could ask you some questions" Bad answer/Neutral?)

After that will she say, that she wanted to be alone, but doesn't mind your company. She will then continue to say that you get all soaked and suggest you to take cover under the tree next to her. She'll continue talking about how impossibly interesting the sound of the rain falling on the lake is.
You pull out a mini-harp (Yes, that happens) to her surprise (She evens says that you're full of surprises) and you both play together. <p>This happened to me with 9 hearts and when entering the aforementioned area at the aforementioned time. I can't tell exactly how long this lasts and if the day, weather and relationship have importance to it (Could be a 9-heart event for all I know) so someone has to double-check this.
It was Fall 9 btw.
After I gave the good answer did the relationship rise to 10 hearts, so it might have quite some reward. --Andre 601 (talk) 00:15, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi Andre! This is Abigail's Four Heart event, which can trigger anytime after reaching 4 hearts with her, and going to the mountain on a rainy day between noon and 7pm. My guess is that you didn't go to the mountains at any point between 4 and 9 (almost 10) hearts w/Abigail anytime that met those conditions. margotbean (talk) 02:50, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

8-Heart Event

So the 8-Heart event is listed as:

"After receiving a letter from Abigail, enter Pierre's General Store between 8pm and 10pm when she's there. (Note that the event is coded to trigger from 8pm to 10pm, but it's impossible to enter Pierre's after 9pm.)"

but I've found 2 things to be the case:

  • Abigail needs to be home for the event to trigger
  • You can wait in the Greenhouse to trigger it when you go back into the main house

Furthermore, after the event, you will be placed outside the house regardless of which direction you came from.
