Copper Ore Quest

Hi Jeff! Welcome to the wiki! I have to ask about the cheat for Clint's copper ore quests, because I cannot get it to work on PC. What platform are you playing on (Switch/PS4/Xbox/PC/Mac/Linux) and what version of the game? Steam version or GOG? Here are the steps I take to try to replicate the cheat:

1. Open inventory, select the stack of copper ore, then drag it to the edge of the screen
2. Quickly close inventory, and walk in the direction opposite to where I dropped the ore (so it does not automatically pop back into inventory)
3. Walk back to the stack of ore and take it into inventory
4. Open the journal and see that I still have 0/25 or 0/40 (etc) ores collected.

I have also tried letting the ore pop automatically back into inventory after dragging it out of the inventory menu. Neither works for me on PC, GOG version 1.2.33. So, are you following the same steps? Am I missing something, or is the cheat platform-specific?
