Range Change

On the PC version, the range has been smaller since patch 1.2; it reaches 1 less tile on the uppermost and lowermost rows, which makes it asymmetrical. Some discussion can be found on the official forums and on reddit. An image showing the new, smaller range from the Data Maps mod can be found in the mod's documentation. I reported it on the old google form back when 1.2 dropped and have never seen confirmation one way or the other if this is a bug or intended change, which is why I have been hesitant to alter the page. This smaller range has thus far persisted in the 1.3 beta. I do not know if it is the same in console versions or not. - MouseyPounds (talk) 02:18, 15 June 2018 (BST)

I tested in v1.3, and the mod is correct -- the uppermost and lowermost tiles at the right side don't produce flower honey. Then I got curious and tested with v1.11. I found the same phenomenon. Tomorrow I'll upload a new image and fix the pages (in all languages). Thanks for pointing this out! margotbean (talk) 06:07, 15 June 2018 (BST)

RE Flower Priority

Margotbean, noting your recent edit regarding flower priority in fixing honey type, can you say what happens when there are flowers of different types at equal distances? Does it come down to random chance? Or perhaps if there are more of one kind than another, that type is chosen? Or a weighting of random chances (and on what basis: flower number, or expense, or ...)? Butterbur (talk) 23:03, 16 November 2019 (UTC)

That is on my "to do" list, Butterbur! It's important info, I just need the time to look it up. With only 2 flowers (one on the right of the house and one on the left) the leftmost one takes priority. That's all I have for now, sorry! margotbean (talk) 23:17, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
Thanks much! Thought it might be useful to have a placekeeper for the questions, in case there wasn't one already. But as usual, you knock it right on the bean. :) Butterbur (talk) 05:58, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
