Generation

How exactly is a Rabbit's Foot and it's quality generated? Is the chance of generation affected by friendship and luck and the quality affected by mood and luck? XaqNautilus (talk) 18:23, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

See the Animals article. Rabbit's Foot is a deluxe product (like large milk), with generation rules that apply to that type of product. See the Table of Contents to locate the Produce sub-section within the Animal Care section. Separate subsections within that will describe the generation of the product (luck, mood, and friendship enter in), and the quality (friendship, mood, and profession affect this). Anti-Jealousy

Hello! I married Penny and then started leveling up my hearts with other villagers, which prompted one jealousy dialogue. Since I started keeping a rabbit's foot in my inventory, the jealous dialogues have stopped, even as I brought multiple other bachelor/ettes to 6-8 hearts. Has anyone else had a similar experience, or know of anything in the game files that stops your spouse from being jealous so long as you carry a rabbit's foot? Lostozian (talk) 13:55, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

I'm afraid it's just random luck. There's nothing in the code to prevent jealousy when carrying a rabbit's foot. margotbean (talk) 16:57, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Is it really lucky?

A good question is if carrying a lucky rabbit's foot actually improves your luck. Is there any way to know if this is the case other than a massive statistical analysis? --02:09, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

Yes, there is no place in the code where carrying a rabbit's foot affects luck. margotbean (talk) 14:40, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

Adding info on this as a gift?

I consider this to be by far the most valuable item to gift, since it's a universal love (except Penny), you can get it reliably, and it's the only universal love that can occur at silver/gold/iridium quality. I think this information is worth adding to the article, as focusing on getting a large number of rabbit's feet makes maxing out friendship hearts much easier.

I guess I'd look at it differently. "Most valuable"? I'd say "perhaps simplest", because one gift type suits all. I think that's highlighted already in "universal loved gift". "Getting a large number" looks difficult enough. A Deluxe Barn full of rabbits is not going to produce that many, especially at iridium quality, and there's nothing else you can count on predictably, most of which are at regular quality. But I wish you all good luck at your goal. Butterbur (talk) 22:21, 8 December 2019 (UTC)
