Unlocking

I didn't get the cut scene, maybe because I entered with my horse or maybe because the Community Center was not finished? After completing the center and "walking" to the Bus Stop it appeared, but could also be coincidence. Any details on this? --EASY (talk) 02:38, 3 August 2018 (BST)

I've seen at least one post on the forums about this. I have it on my "to do" list to test if the cutscene can be triggered while on a horse, but my "to do" list is really long.  :D So, I'm going to add it to the page that you have to be walking and not on a horse, and if others find this to be not true, we can go from there. Thanks for the question, you actually saved me some time! margotbean (talk) 03:30, 3 August 2018 (BST)

Spawn chances

I have been digging through the code to see how these spawn. When I get the time I will format them into a table, referencing the appropriate places in code. For now I will put the info here

Secret note sources:
Weeds - 0.9%
Monsters - 3.3%
Axe hit - 0.5%
Fish - 8%
Artifact spot - 11%
Stone - 1%
Resource clump - 5%
Giant crop - 100%

When the check succeeds, the game tries 3 times to make a note. In each attempt a random number is generated based on the total number of notes. If the number is a note that has not yet been received, the note is spawned and the checks stop BlaDe (talk) 06:40, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

That is AWESOME!! Please add when ready! margotbean (talk) 17:06, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Secret Note #24 Pictures

I have some screenshots with the colored junimo and their gem colors for secret note #24. I'm not confident adding or changing the wiki page myself, especially since I have pictures. I took them for those curious about what colors their junimos would be when adding different gems to the huts and I have only done some common gems so far. Note that they are not the best pictures and I am experimenting making better ones, but the colors do show and I made sure to put the gems in one by one and make note of the order of the gems I tried. I understand that this is a page for editing the secret notes wiki page but any advice, tips, or ideas would be wonderful. I plan to make a full chart of the colors and the gems. 77MistyStar77 04:49 December 2019 (UTC)

Shadow Guy has been confirmed to be Krobus

one of 1.4's update notes says "Fixed Krobus secret note event not triggered if riding a horse."

said note can be found on this page.

The underlying sprite is Krobus' sprite, but referring to the shadow guy as Krobus may be developer shorthand. Please remember to sign your posts by typing 4 tildes ~~~~ margotbean (talk) 00:41, 9 December 2019 (UTC)

Secret Notes Update Gift Logs

Since the addition of the in-game gift logs (update v1.4), it may be necessary to mention that secret notes involving liked and favorite items of characters will update the corresponding characters gift log. Ex. Secret Note #1 will automatically update Abigail's Loved gifts with amethyst, chocolate cake, spicy eel, pumpkin, and blackberry cobbler if it has not been discovered yet.

Good idea, thanks! margotbean (talk) 18:24, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Note 16 and 17

I went to the spots on Notes 16 and 17, but got no reward for digging there. Does anybody know why? Is this just because I didn't find the Secret Notes before I dug there? Jay312 (talk) 10:29, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

You need to find the notes before the artifacts appear. BlaDe (talk) 00:31, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

What is the point of Note #11?

I struggle to understand what the point is of note #11.
Will it trigger an event, or is it just a collectable? The wiki page also doesn't mention anything which is why I'm so confused. --Andre 601 (talk) 12:31, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

It seems to be simply a collectible, I'm as confused as you are about its purpose. Perhaps v1.5 will expand on it... margotbean (talk) 14:47, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
