I'm adding the full drop lists for the slimes here with the drop rates. Please let me know if anything is inappropriate. -KnaveErrant

Colors

Does anyone know how many colors the slimes can have? It seems you can mix them by breeding different colored ones, but I'm not even sure the eggs spawn always the same color. I count at least three different red tones in my hutch: imgur.com/xUsXfZw.png (it seems I can't post external links)--ShardofTruth (talk) 09:50, 19 March 2016 (EDT)

Even "in nature" I already spotted more than one type of green/blue/red/purple and I think even brown (in the woods) IIRC--Djfe (talk) 16:11, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

Angry slimes

We should add a section that slimes can get angry if you attack them. Then they get red eyes and probably try to attack more often. Does anyone know more about this? Do they get a dmg or hp boost, when they are in "rage" mode? Can they jump farther? How do you make them angry? Is it related to how long you take to kill a slime or random?--Djfe (talk) 16:17, 31 March 2016 (EDT)

Black slimes and iridium ore

A witch just turned my ~20 purple slimes into black ones. Since I read they don't drop iridium, I decided to harvest them all. About halfway through I got 8 coal, 1 neptunite and... 1 iridium ore. Either black ones do, in fact, drop iridium, or the jinxed slimes act different. Not sure what to put in the article. MsMinty (talk) 07:33, 29 April 2016 (EDT)

First, for clarification, the black slimes are the jinxed slimes. I am the one, who added the black slimes to this page. All the information about the black slimes are based on things that I experienced, while I played the game. I never actually tested, what they can drop. It is possible, that they can drop items, that are not listed yet.

Unique slimes

I added a section about the unique slimes I have encountered, but there are rumors about many other types, someone should look into it I will add any more I find. Arch (talk) 14:17, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

Cute Slimes?

Aren't they supposed to be male Slimes, not cute Slimes? I am confused. After a male Slime hatches and is being announced, you can see it's tail. Would also explain why they are stronger. --Bananaboy (talk) 08:35, 15 July 2016 (EDT)

You are correct, you can even see them mate in the wild. --Vg-tal (talk) 00:08, 20 September 2016 (BST)

Sludge clarification

What is the difference between normal and sludge slime? --Vg-tal (talk) 03:26, 20 September 2016 (BST)

Green slimes, frost jellies, and sludges are variants of the same monster. A "blue slime" is a frost jelly (the game never calls it a 'blue slime', although it can drop a blue slime egg); a "red slime" is just what the Adventurer's Guild calls a sludge that spawns on levels 80–119. When the game spawns a slime, it does this:
if mine level 0–39:
   spawn green slime.

if mine level 40–79:
   spawn frost jelly.

if mine level 80–119:
   spawn sludge, color it red.

if Skull Cavern:
   spawn sludge, double its health.
The game also varies their stats and drops a bit; I haven't double-checked all the numbers, but the article looks basically correct. Pathoschild (talk) 14:41, 21 September 2016 (BST)

Slime sight range

Slime Sight Range.png

I've tested extensively with normal slimes (not special and not big), with all common colors (green, blue, red and purple), both male and female; and their sight range to stop ignoring the player presence is a 4 tiles radius, including diagonals, i.e. diagonals are not shorter than vertical and horizontal distances, as it would be if their sight range had a round shape; or, if it's simpler to understand, a 9x9 square with the slime at the center. If the player enter inside this range, the slime will attempt to attack him, either by moving normaly or by charging to jump towards him. If someone could add this to the Attacks section, it may be useful. Sapador (talk) 22:04, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Added, thank you! If you find that big slimes (or special slimes) behave the same way, we can specify that on the page. For now, I've not mentioned either of those kinds of slimes, but specified all colors and male/female. margotbean (talk) 22:48, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Slime charge range

Any info about this change (if it is a change)? -- Sapador (talk) 16:34, 17 August 2018 (BST)

Someone reported it as a bug on the forums. No one responded directly. Perhaps the developers are waiting for more people to complain about it/can't reproduce it?
I've not seen it myself in singleplayer, so it might be a multiplayer lag issue? margotbean (talk) 16:51, 17 August 2018 (BST)
Edit: Oh, I see that was your video you linked to. lol, well post that on the forums, man! https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/stardew-valley-multiplayer-known-issues-fixes.147892/

Monster Eradication Goals

I added the exception of Slimes raised in a Hutch, i.e. they don't count towards the goal either. Since the page did not say this before, I wonder if they changed it with any game update? I tested it on 1.4.2, no mods. I took the current count at the Adventurer's Guild (some 700, give or take), killed a Slime from the Hutch, checked again, no change. Then I went into The Mines, killed another one, checked a third time, and then it did count. MadMarty28 (talk) 21:14, 10 December 2019 (UTC)

That's good info, thank you! I don't know if it changed with v1.4 either, maybe someday I'll have time to test it out... margotbean (talk) 23:13, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
